What is a Slab Leak?
The pipes that service your property run underground from the main lines to wherever the plumbing system is needed. They then travel up and through the concrete slab that supports your home and throughout the building. A slab leak is a leak that occurs within the concrete slab or directly underneath it.
The extremely hidden nature of slab leaks make them difficult to detect and they can continue for a long period of time without resolution. A slab leak can cause extensive water damage around the slab of your home that can lead to the settling or even collapse of your foundation.
Slab leaks are often caused by environmental factors that are out of your control. The natural settling of the ground or the foundation over time can cause strain on the pipes. Corrosion happens gradually over time and can eventually cause a pinhole or other damage.
